Who will you contact in an emergency?

We will have your provided list of chosen family members, friends and neighbours which we will be able to contact. We will also call the emergency services for you if needed.

What happens if I accidentally press the red button on my Carephone

Never worry about accidentally contacting us. The team are always happy to hear from you, simply tell the contact centre that it was a false alarm and everything is okay. 

How do I know my unit is working?

The unit will automatically check in with us every hour to make sure you are connected and that your device is fully operational.

How will I know when my pendant battery needs changing?

Pendant Battery Low Notification ( The system will be notified, when your pendant battery starts running low. So that we can arrange to replace the battery before it dies ). This will allow us to pick up on the fault long before your battery back-up runs low. Which will guarantee that your device will never die on you, just in case you need help.

What happens in a power cut?

The Carephone unit comes with a rechargeable back-up battery, a long life battery in the transmitter and our office has a powerful back-up generator in case our call centre experiences a power outage.

What if I forget / loose my pendant?

A Pendant Lost Notification is sent to us (If you have miss placed or lost your pendant and the pendant is not in range of the device for longer than 72 hours, we will be notified).

Can I wear it in bed?

Yes. All of our devices can be worn in bed. The pendant is comfortable and designed to be worn 24 hours a day.

How easy is it to set up the alarm?

AidCall247 take care of everything and will send out your carephone fully programmed and ready to work straight out of the box. Once received all you have to do is plug in two wires. One to the mains power and one into your internet router. It’s that simple. Our trained advisors on hand for any questions you may have and can even video call to provide a step by step guide. If you’d prefer AidCall247 also offer an optional installation service where we can send someone to you property who can install the unit and show you exactly how it works.

Can the operator hear me if I am in a different room from the Carephone

Within reason, the Carephone has great speech quality and the operator should be able to hear you if you are in an adjacent room. If the monitoring centre team cannot get a speech contact with you, they will first try to reach you via the telephone.

Are you just for medical emergencies?

We don’t want you to see our service as just an ambulance service. If you hear a noise outside in the middle of the night, and you're not sure what it could be, press the button and get us on the line. If you're lying in bed at night and you just don’t feel 100%, press the button and get us on the line. We can stay on the line with you until you feel better. But, don’t wait until it’s too late.

Is the pendant waterproof?

The pendant is fully waterproof. You can wear it in the shower or bath.

How long does it take to arrive?

We aim to deliver to you on the next working day when a completed order and service agreement (personal information) is received before 1pm. It is delivered by a courier and requires a signature

How do I keep my information up to date?

We will call you once a month to verify whether any of your important information needs to be updated. This includes any changes to your medical information and changes to your keyholders details.

What if I change my mind after ordering?

You have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase. If you change your mind, simply give us a call.
